I am a Manchester United fan so I have no brief for either Leeds United or the England football team or the English FA. Now Don Revie yes he did walk away from Leeds to take over his country manager job.One could say managing your country is the ultimate job..and he was a proud Englishman. And he didn’t leave Leeds to go to say Liverpool or Man United. Now yes he also walked away from England and you could say at not a good moment. But he was going to get the sack as it was clear he was not wanted at the FA…and Revie walked away before the crap bags there could sack him..and they hated him for that. And the sick lot wanted to punish him…and they failed.Rightly so. I can understand why he decided to jump ship especially with that sort of money. And many would have done the same. The only issue one could say was the timing but was there such a thing as bad or even good timing? I very much doubt it.

This was in the days when footballers got nothing where as now they get far too much , they had to make a living and what ever happened sprake from 63 to 67 was a great keeper for Leeds. After that he lost confidence dont really know why, but you only saw flashes of brilliance not week in week out. But who cares now its done and hes in heaven, rest well Gary you was a great goalkeeper in your time

Even though it was before my life, brian clough at leeds ended because leeds players got him out as they would not work for him Talk about player power, they hated brian clough, and was not going to listen to him What dumb fools these players were, as brian clough left and joined nottingham forest and won them the prizes the leeds people wanted Shows you how dumb players can be. What dumb fools those leeds players were, they thought there shit do not stink, and they did not understand what brian clough could of done for them. He must of chuckled years later winning leagues, and european cups(todays champions league) for nottingham forest You can be sure brian clough had a good chuckle at what dumb fools these leeds players were for not wanting him to be there manager, and driving him out of the club after 44 days.
